Saputara is Gujarat’s only hill station, sitting in the Sahyadris right on the Maharashtra border. This is a camp rather than a hotel stay — two nights under canvas, rope activities, two treks, and the monsoon-fed Gira Waterfall on the way home.
Travel is by 3×2 seater bus from Ahmedabad and back, with pickups along the highway at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat and Navsari.
Campsite
Stay is in alpine and dome tents on a sharing basis, in 6 and 8 person capacity tents. Groups can share a tent if they fill it; otherwise accommodation is separated for boys and girls. Couples can book a private dome tent for ₹500 per person extra.
Tents have ground bedding and we provide the EPE foam mattress — you must carry your own blanket, and a pillow if you want one. There is no light or fan inside the tents, but the campsite has 100+ common charging points and 24 well-built common washrooms, separate for men and women. Hot water for bathing is not provided.
For passenger comfort an extra seat is mandatory for oversized guests, charged at ₹1,300.
